How to get here to the southern farm

From San Jose several buses leave from the busstation TRACOPA directly to Rio Claro. One of them goes to Golfito, the other one goes to Panama. About 1 km before Rio Claro you can get off at the ricefactory ( Arrocera), Walk in the direction of the Bus you came with, take a left turn just before the bridge. The river should now be on your right hand side. Follow this road straight ahead for about 20 minutes. Now you will reach our first house. At the back of the sign which reads RAWTREAT,  you will find a piece of paper with a detailed description how to get to the mainhouse/rancho.

It is also possible to take a Taxi from Rio Claro.

Weather conditions
  • Temperature 21 degrees celsius- 35 degrees celsius/ 70-95 degrees Fahrenheit

  • We are located in the lowlands of Costa Ricas tropical rainforest. That is on the southern pacific-side about 150 meters above sea level.
Fruits and culture

Many fruits and plants grow on the rawtreat farms, and great knowledge is to be acquired in order to attain mastery - and subsistance - in their culture. You may download here a "fruit table", which indicates the fruittrees that grow and/or may grow on the rawtreat farms.

Nursery

In our nursery we have locally common fruit-trees/plants as well as exotical ones grafted or from seeds. We sell or exchange our trees.

Biking

We have several bikes with which you can hike to town, to the restaurant or make a jungle-trip. The renting costs depends on the distance of your ride: to the town for example $1.
